From the first conversation, it was clear that Café Two 14 needed to feel grounded — not themed, but quietly powerful. The concept began with a question: How do you design a space that feels like gratitude? The answer revealed itself through restraint, rhythm, and storytelling.
At the heart of the café is a central service counter wrapped in Dekton Khalo stone, layered with Lume subway tiles, and backed by a glowing halo-lit retail wall. Sculpted archways, bronze plaques, and a silhouette of a soldier saluting at dusk serve not only as visual anchors but emotional ones. These details invite reflection without demanding it.
Custom joinery, including fluted timber banquettes and arched display niches, bring a bespoke, handcrafted feel. The floor transitions between luxury vinyl planks in European Walnut and Roxset P5 epoxy, meeting commercial requirements while maintaining a seamless sensory experience. Paint tones like Dulux Mundi, Wellington, and Antique White U.S.A. create a soft, layered backdrop.
Behind the scenes, every millimetre of the back-of-house was designed for compliance and efficiency — with commercial-grade equipment, pre-rinse stations, and passthrough dishwashers neatly concealed behind doors that blend into the architecture. The kitchen, though compact, performs with precision.
Throughout, the lighting is subtle but deliberate. Warm LED strips, recessed spots, and directional task lighting define zones and shift mood — from morning bustle to quiet afternoon retreat.
