Life Healthcare Workplace Refurbishment
The Bowen Hills based team at Life Healthcare – medical device distributors – had outgrown their space and secured a tenancy in a larger space. Shape approached Director and Principal Designer, Sonia Leith, to assist in designing a fit out for Life Healthcare’s new workspace that would meet the needs of multiple functions within the business.
Upon conducting the site visit and schematic plans, Sonia sat down with the client to understand the key requirements and constraints of the business functions and the site itself.
The client required an open and inviting space that would serve several different functions within the business, including private offices, meeting rooms, a product demonstration and training room, ample storage, and an open plan office with workstations and collaboration areas throughout – whilst keeping within the allocated budget.
Leithal Designs delivered a sensible and functional workspace, making the large open space areas appear warmer and less clinical through creative lighting placement, clever partitioning, and smart substitutions for similar, budget-friendly finishes. Sustainability was important to our client; their scope was to reuse as much existing furniture as possible to create comfortable and professional working areas.
The result was a modern and fresh workspace with zones perfect for hosting product demonstrations and training, inviting collaboration and break out zones, and sufficient storage for marketing materials and consumables.
With its sleek design and reasonable price tag, the Brisbane-based Life Healthcare arm occupies a space that is perfect for their needs, while staying within the strict budget constraints.
